为本科生讲授《高等代数》、《线性代数》，为研究生讲授《代数射影几何》、《矩阵分析》等课程。以独立作者或第一作者身份发表SCI或EI检索论文18余篇。以第一发明人获得国家发明专利一项。主持中央高校基本科研业务费项目1项、横向科研项目1项，参与纵项科研项目多项。2013年，获沈阳市第七届高校教师基本功大赛二等奖，并授予“沈阳市技术标兵”荣誉称号。2018年，获东北大学王玉仑奖教金。2014年、2015年、2018年被评为东北大学第十届、第十一届、第十三届 “我最喜爱的老师”荣誉称号，多次获得东北大学“三育人”先进个人称号。多次获得本科生毕业设计（论文）优秀指导教师称号，指导学生多次获得数学竞赛省一等奖，指导学生获得数学建模（美赛和国赛）竞赛特等奖提名奖1次，一、二等奖若干次。
近年来的主要研究工作：
1.在多项式理论方面，给出了二元四次型正定性的一个判据。在代数几何理论方面，给出了二次曲线在基于点-线计数几何中的闭式解；
2.在基于几何的计算机视觉方面，给出了两视图几何中相对位姿问题中的一些新结果，以及基于PnP问题的绝对位姿问题中的一些最小配置解。
