The Political Bureau Meeting of the Central Committee of the CPC held on September 26th pointed out that we must cultivate new forms of consumption. Since the beginning of this year, the development momentum of cultural and tourism consumption has been strong. The deep integrated development of culture and tourism has become an important engine to drive overall consumption growth and boost market confidence, as well as a significant support for realizing people's aspirations for a better life and building a socialist cultural power. On the one hand, the booming of tourism consumption reflects the vigorous vitality and huge potential of the consumer market, highlighting the strong domestic demand driving force of China's economy. On the other hand, it has also triggered the transformation and upgrading of the domestic cultural and tourism industry, catalyzing an industry elimination competition.
This article proposes the following suggestions. Firstly, we should integrate the advantages of cultural and tourism resources, innovate the investment promotion mode, and transform the grand strategy from attracting investment to driving investment through cultural and tourism consumption. Secondly, we should extract core cultural imagery, construct the core values of cultural and tourism IP, and transform from cultural and tourism traffic to consumption increment. Thirdly, we should explore the unique cultural connotations, enhance the quality of cultural and tourism consumption, and increase the tourist stickiness of tourism consumption. Fourth, we should continuously optimize the inbound tourism policy, carry out refined operations as well as precise marketing, and create a comfortable and reassuring consumption environment.
