Dr. Yonghui Hu obtained his Ph.D. in Philosophy Department at Nanjing University in June 2013, majoring in Chinese Philosophy. His Ph.D. dissertation was awarded as an excellent thesis in Jiangsu Province. He is a philosophy associate professor and master supervisor at Nanjing University since 2016. He teaches History of Chinese Buddhism, Philosophy of Tao Te Ching, History of Chinese Philosophy, History of the Relationship between Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in China, etc.

Dr. Hu’s main research interests are modern Buddhism and the relationship between Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. He has been on academic visits to universities in Germany, Russia, and Vietnam. He has completed more than twenty articles on Chinese philosophy and religion. Dr. Hu has participated in the completion of two books and undertaken several national research projects. He is currently researching a National Social Science Project on Buddhist education in modern China.
