Center for History of the Republic of  China is an MOE key research institute and the earliest research team in China mainland to collate historical materials of Republic of China. Major publications such as Collection of Historical Materials of Nanjing Massacre and A History of the Republic of China are acclaimed as milestone works. The academic circle refers to researchers of the Republic of China at Nanjing University the “Nanjing School.”
