On the morning of July 29, Nanjing University delegation of the "China-Turkey East Mediterranean International Geoscience Expedition Program" visited the Office of the President and the Faculty of Earth Sciences at Çukurova University in Turkey, where they received a warm welcome from the university and faculty representatives.
Prof. Hamit Emrah Beris, President of Çukurova University, cordially met with Prof. Wang Bo, Vice Dean of the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at Nanjing University, Associate Prof. Lian Dongyang, and Dr. Cai Pengjie. President Beris extended a heartfelt welcome to the team and introduced Çukurova University’s history, academic disciplines, and distinctive strengths in geology. Prof. Wang Bo expressed sincere gratitude for the university's strong support in the joint China-Turkey joint expedition and provided an overview of Nanjing University's talent development and scientific research in geology. He also reviewed the collaborative progress between the two institutions in undergraduate fieldwork training, scientific research, and cultural exchanges. Prof. Ulus Cevik, Director of the International Office at Çukurova University, attended the meeting.

At the Faculty of Earth Sciences, the NJU delegation held discussions with Dean Prof. Ali Keskin and Department Head Prof. Hasan Çetin. Both sides highly praised the academic significance of the joint field expedition and expressed a shared desire to deepen cooperation in scientific research and talent cultivation. The delegation also included undergraduates, master and PhD students, and high school representatives from NJU's "Feiyue Program," as well as faculty and student representatives from Zhejiang University's School of Earth Sciences.
